George Kapiniaris is one of this country’s best loved entertainers – having had an incredible impact on Greek-Australian popular culture over the last Forty years.

George’s claim to fame was his starring role in the hugely popular stage show Wogs Out Of Work.

Since then, the Australian public has continued to see him use his Greek heritage as inspiration for future roles and performances. 
Best known as ‘Memo’ in ‘Acropolis Now’ & ‘DJ’ in ‘The Flying Doctors’ George has also starred in many other TV Shows, Fims, Theatre Productions & Musicals.

Recently he starred as The dodgy Mayor ‘Theo Theopoulos’ in Channel 7’s ‘Darradong Local Council’ & in 2024 toured in a play he wrote with Tony Nikolakopoulos called ‘The Life of Byron’.
